1. All contestants must be within the age range specified by August 1. Contestants must be single and a resident of Independence County or attending school in Independence County.
2. PRE-REGISTRATION IS NECESSARY FOR ALL CONTESTANTS. Parents or Guardian must sign the preregistration form. Miss Independence County application forms may be picked up at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, bridal shops, local beauty shops in the county, radio stations, and the Batesville Daily Guard after June 1.
3. There will be a $20.00 REGISTRATION FEE, which includes gate tickets for the contestant and one parent/guardian, and the contestant’s show number.
4. Checks or money order, along with completed registration form, should be mailed to INDEPENDENCE COUNTY FAIR, P.O. Box 2641 , Batesville, AR 72503.
5. PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS JULY 10. ENTRY FORMS RECEIVED AFTER THE JULY 10 DEADLINE WILL BE DISQUALIFIED WITH CHECKS RETURNED TO SENDER.
6. Previous winners may not enter the same pageant again.
7. Dress may be formal or casual (parents discretion).
8. In the event a contest winner cannot, for any reason, fulfill the duties of the winner’s position or becomes ineligible during the course of the year, the first runner-up will take over for the remainder of the year.
9. Fair Board is not responsible for anything lost or stolen.
10. Any display of poor sportsmanship and/or unbecoming conduct, any interference and/ or disturbance, or any other behavioral problem created by a contestant, chaperone, parent, relative, or even a supporter of a contestant could result in disqualification of the contestant, not only from this year’s contest, but also from future contests.
